How to prepare your before a body wax service...
Updated: Dec 6, 2020
I'f you've found this post, your most likely wondering what you need to do before your first body wax! You have came to the right page, as I am about to give you some details to hopefully make your experience as smooth and less painful as possible...
1. Hair Length- You should let your hair all grow until its about 1/4 to 1/2 inches long. Do not shave the hair in between as you'd want your hair all on the same growth cycle, that way you can achieve the best results. Usually you'd be ready 2 weeks after shaving! If you plan to get waxed, DO NOT shave in between!
2.Exfoliate- You should exfoiliate the area 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Sugar scrubs are great to help scrub away the dead skin. A clean exfoliating glove or a loofah work well also!
3. Medications- Avoid using any Retinol cream! If you are using Accutane, it's best to wait several months before you can be waxed again! If you are also using any skin thinning medication or have any medical conditions, you may reach out if you are unsure if waxing is safe for you!
4. Day of- Show before you come in. Do not exfoliate day or or use any harsh lotions/products on your skin! You may take Advil 20 minutes before your Appointment to help with any discomfort during your service.
5. Remember- The first time is ALWAYS the most painful, and it does get better! Usually by the 3rd Brazilian clients always say the pain is not as bad! Wax experts also see all different shape and size bodies, so no judgement here ever!
Happy waxing!!!!
